About Your Trip
Escape the everyday with a well-deserved DreamBreak and enjoy your DreamTrips™ Membership a different way — on your own, instead of in a group! Your DreamBreak does not include an In-destination Support team member so you can create your own adventures, your way.
The quaint resort town of Scottburgh lies between dense forests and long stretches of shoreline along the Indian Ocean. Visitors to the area can enjoy a variety of activities, including surfing and other water sports, golfing, shopping, visiting casinos, sightseeing and more.
You’ll also have a blast with your included 1-day admission to Crocworld Conservation Centre. An education center, it’s home to Nile and dwarf crocodiles, alligators, and reptiles such as cobras and vipers, along with other wildlife including eagles, owls and other birds. With feedings, demonstrations, an animal farm, playground and bird aviary, there’s plenty to see and do.
The rest of your itinerary is entirely what you make it. Start early in the morning and end late at night — the choice is up to you! Away from the crowds, you can laze the day away at your hotel. These modern lodgings near the Indian Ocean shoreline offer a variety of water sports, proximity to quality golfing and more — something for everyone in the family! Stroll the waterfront, snorkel along the South Coast or simply relax on the beach.
Whatever you decide, during your stay, be sure to fuel up each morning with a complimentary buffet breakfast.
What we love:
• One of Scottburgh’s most notable attractions, the Green Point Lighthouse, was built in the early 1900s.
• Enjoy sampling regional cuisine — top culinary experiences include shisa nyama, or Zulu barbecue, and bunny chow, spicy curry served in a hollowed-out loaf of bread.
• From the hotel you can walk to TC Robertson Nature Reserve on Mpambanyoni River with birds, self-guided trails and picnic spots.
• Just off the coast, divers will find top diving spot Aliwal Shoal Marine Protected Area, featuring a sunken ship and grey nurse shark sightings.
